WELCOME TO AMP
The Artist Mentorship Program (AMP) is a Portland-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth experiencing homelessness through music, education, and mentorship.
For over 30 years, AMP has been a lifeline for marginalized and isolated young people, offering a safe, inclusive space where they can build confidence, foster community, and heal from trauma. Alongside music and arts education, AMP provides essential support services, including nutritious meals, health and safety supplies, resource navigation, and workforce training, ensuring that every participant has the tools they need to move through and out of homelessness.
OUR MISSION
The Artist Mentorship Program supports youth navigating the trauma of homelessness by creating community, relationships, and music and arts mentorships so that self esteem is enhanced, confidence is fortified, and pathways out of homelessness are built.

WHAT WE DO
Our programming includes a variety of artistic and educational opportunities as well as essential services - such as food programs and access to resources - that address the immediate needs of our youth.
Through our work, we aim to not only transform individual lives but also to build a stronger, more compassionate community. Join us as we continue this vital work, celebrating three decades of impact and looking forward to many more years of making a difference together.

EQUITY STATEMENT
The Artist Mentorship Program (AMP) recognizes the systemic oppression of youth experiencing homelessness and works to engage all voices to create a diverse and inclusive environment in which youth can thrive.
AMP is committed to pursuing diversity, equity and inclusion for all people regardless of gender identity, racialized identity, Indigenous status, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, ability, socioeconomic status, and religion in all policies and practices. AMP’s commitment to this constantly evolving awareness will be held at the forefront of our organizational decisions.
