L Parker

Development Director

L Parker serves as the Development Director at the Artist Mentorship Program (AMP), where they lead fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and community partnerships in support of Portland youth experiencing homelessness.

Before joining AMP’s staff, L volunteered with the program and was drawn to its trauma-informed, youth-centered approach. Their professional background spans recruitment, Human Resources, and sales. Most recently, L managed volunteer teams, cultivated strategic partnerships with universities and national organizations, and secured funding for inclusive hiring programs. L’s work history is grounded in a lifelong passion for storytelling, relationship-building, and social impact.

They hold a B.A. in Sociology from Colorado State University and have been an active volunteer with organizations such as Radio Milwaukee, Portland Child Art Studio, SOLVE, and Pickathon. A published writer and poet, L believes deeply in the transformative power of creative expression. Their leadership at AMP is rooted in lived experience, values-driven collaboration, and a belief that community care can be a powerful tool for youth resilience and possibility.

In their free time, L enjoys photography, biking, hiking, dancing, reading, and learning.
